Galeria Młociny

Designed anew

Galeria Młociny will provide visitors with more space for entertainment and meetings, a completely new concept of the restaurant zone inspired by urban market-halls and an easily accessible parking area for cars and cyclists. Future tenants will appreciate the improved setting and visibility of the shop displays, as well as a simpler and more intuitive way of getting about within the building. The opening of the complex is scheduled for March 2019.

“Galeria Młociny will be the largest retail-entertainment establishment of its kind in Warsaw. We want our concept to be in line with our principle of creating meeting places, full of energy and offering many functions. At the first stage of the design work, we focused on introducing more facilities for future tenants and customers” – says Marcin Materny. A member of the management board and a director at Echo Investment’s Shopping Centres Department. He emphasizes that the complex at Galeria Młociny, and the new architectural solutions at the facility, will naturally fit in with the green neighbourhood of Młocin. In addition, the investor also declares the desire to comprehensively revitalize the green areas next to the centre.

Greater visibility for tenants

According to Marcin Materny, future tenants will be truly impressed, by the breathtaking up to 7.5 m tall displays, located on Fashion Avenue on level 1. In addition, the new design of the displays, will make them readily visible from all levels of the centre, which will mean a faster and much more straightforward way of getting to the desired shop. In their first project of this kind in Warsaw, Echo Investment and EPP, set out for clear and comfortable mobility and access both inside the complex and in the underground car park. The effects of changes are, among others. new escalator locations, higher 2.2 m garage entrances, and safe, 2.5 m wide cycle paths in the car park.

Inspired by urban food halls

In the new restaurant area of Galeria Młociny, where the design is based on the solutions introduced at some of the best known food-halls, and next to the popular mainstream restaurants and cafés, there will also be a place for localized food concepts and waiter service restaurants. Marcin Materny adds that the new Galeria Młociny is trying exceptionally hard to introduce even more green spaces. That is why, the restaurant area will be airy and spacious, with a glass frontage overlooking the lush green roof terrace. “We have not forgotten about our youngest visitors either, there will be a trampoline park on the roof, and the complex will be additionally equipped with a modern play-area” – adds Echo Investment’s board member and the Shopping Centre’s Department director.

Michał Świerczyński, an EPP board member, the owner and majority shareholder of Galeria Młociny, underlines that “[…] Galeria Młociny is our first development in Warsaw – one of the most important retail markets in Poland. This property fits ideally into the EPP development strategy, which involves investing in modern well-designed shopping and entertainment centres with multi-use facilities in large cities.”
