A Diverse Galeria Młociny. Major international player joins list of tenants


Pepco, the well-known clothing and housewares brand, has boosted the list of tenants of the modern, multi-functional complex currently under construction in Warsaw’s Młociny district. Their newest of more than 800 stores in Poland, will occupy approximately 111 sq.m of space on level +1 at the complex. With less than a year remaining before the first shoppers will be admitted, the list of tenants at Galeria Młociny is already three-quarters complete.

Elegantly, with flair…

At the Bielany based complex, which is set to open next spring, there will be more than 220 brand name stores. One of the best commercial locations in Warsaw has attracted the most liked and renowned retail names, such as Guess, Van Graaf, H&M, C&A, Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho and Carry. British based TKMaxx will surely attract throngs of people to its store, occupying an area of over 2,000 sq.m. A complement to the very extensive fashion choice, will be the cosmetics, beauty and make-up stores such as The Body Shop, MAC and the Douglas and Sephora perfumeries.

We wanted the first level to be totally focused on fashion. We put a lot of effort into designing the shop-fronts to maximise visibility, thus allowing for an unhindered view of new collections. Shoppers will benefit not only from this enhanced visibility, but also from a much faster access to their desired store. The sum of our efforts will be “Fashion Avenue” – with expansive shop-fronts, augmented with impressive 7.5m high displays” -. comments Szymon Mińczuk, regional leasing director at the Shopping Centres Division of Echo Investment.

…and just when required.

Also adding its name to list of tenants of this key and multi-functional complex for the residents of the Bielany neighbourhood and the northern part of Warsaw, is Intermarché, for whom this step will represent a first within the capital. The impressive potential of the complex’s location as well as the development itself has also been acknowledged by the likes of MediaMarktSaturn, Euro RTV AGD and Jysk, whose new Bielany based stores will open for business in less than a year. There are also plenty of tenants at Galeria Młociny offering products and services for the more physically active consumer. On the one hand, shops such as Go Sport and Martes Sport will afford clothing and sport accessories, while on the other, the immensely popular Calypso network will operate a state-of-the-art fitness club within the Galeria Młociny complex. Medical facilities have not been overlooked, and Poland’s largest family medical centre network Enel-Med, will also be present.

The confirmed tenancy by the Pepco group is another step in the realization of Galeria Młociny’s commercialisation strategy, which involves skilfully combining and integrating a varied mix of stores, services and entertainment together with a completely new approach to the design and dynamism of the restaurant zones. Our task is not simply to build a modern complex and fill it with tenants. Currently, Pepco’s  consumers can shop for men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, as well as interior decorations and housewares in eight countries, being joined by Croatia and Slovenia in 2017, and at the beginning of December in Latvia. In Poland, Pepco has 806 stores.

The last three years have been record-breaking ones for Pepco. The number of stores has doubled to 1,300, and only in 2017 nearly 300 new shops were opened. Selecting Galeria Młociny represents a key step forward in Pepco’s evolution. Being present at one of the best retail locations in the country will allow for a much broader reach to existing as well as potential consumers, whose shopping experience will be interlaced with gatherings at the restaurants, eateries or cafes, and during some free time spending it on the roof-garden, bowling or at the cinema. The Galeria Młociny complex fulfils all these needs.

Pepco belongs to Pepkor Europe, being a part of the Steinhoff International holding group, which manages approximately 12,000 stores, in over 30 countries, with a total retail area of 9 million sq.m. Its European operation employs 9 thousand, of which 450 work at the Poznan hub and 400 in distribution.

Galeria Młociny’s investors are Echo Investment (holding 30% of shares) and responsible for the overall development and commercialization, and Echo Polska Properties (holding 70% of shares) and will be responsible for the overall management of the newly built complex.
